My baby shower was almost a year ago and I thought it would be a perfect time to share this fall table. It feels like a lifetime ago, but I am so happy to have photos to look back on this special day and share some new fall table inspiration. It was a challenge to photograph details of my own baby shower while socializing with friends and family, but here are some photographs of the day.
When my mom and sister organized my shower, My Splendid Living was on their minds. They knew I would want to use this table for my blog. And they did a fantastic job creating this incredible fall look!
This long table was set on my parents cobblestone driveway among the vineyard and olive trees. If there’s ever a location to do a long table, I highly recommend it for its dramatic esthetic. October was a perfect month in California for this outdoor gathering, the weather was starting to cool off but not yet too cold and my baby was due to arrive early December.
We surrounded the table with several umbrellas to keep the mid-day lunch shaded and comfortable. The dark wood table and chairs created a farmhouse rustic feel that reminded us that the season was about to change. Although this was a more formal setting, serving the food family style or as a buffet made it feel more relaxed.
The flower arrangements were designed by Apis Flower. Gold vases were filled with a wild assortment of fall colors with accents of pink and coral roses and dahlias. Matching gold candle holders made for a striking table setting.
My mother in law brought these adorable baby carriage cookies that made for a delicious party favor. Each place setting had a folded napkin with a pink flower tucked inside, a cookie, a lunch menu, and a name tag.
Finally, a macaroon tower to celebrate the coming of a new baby! This shower was incredibly dreamy and I am so grateful for all the family and friends who joined the celebration.
More Splendid Living coming soon.
